When I bought this bike (10 years and almost 49k miles ago) I set out to slowly take away everything about it that got negative press and "blah" feelings, and make it into a soulful hooligan bike. It's far more comfortable than a true SS bike, and vs. stock its faster, handles better, weighs less, and looks modern enough people ask me if it's new all the time. Here's whats been done:

1994 VFR750, Red, Custom, 73xxx miles (ATLANTA AREA)
    $3,900 obo

    ENGINE:

-K&N Filter with airbox mod (de-snorkel)
-Dyno Jet Kit with bigger jets and needle shims
-Full stainless exhaust front to back (Headers/Mids are Black Widow, both pipes are Delkevic...one 9 inch carbon that sounds ungodly loud and insane, and one 18inch stainless that resides on there now. Both high and low mount pipes/ brackets come with it.)
-PAIR system deleted (and thrown in the trash), with block off plates installed.
-Since i bought it at 24,xxx miles, I checked the valves around 44k miles and they were fine, but i put on new valve cover gaskets anyway. Water pump was replaced with a low mileage one a couple years ago as well. Oil pan and stator both have replaced gaskets.
-EBC Street Racing clutch with springs installed awhile ago, but it's not NEW. No signs of fade or slippage.
-Brand new JT sprockets and X-ring chain (back at stock gearing from previous 15t front)

    CHASSIS:
    -
Complete ABM "Superbike" handlebar conversion kit with triple mount and nice wide/tall bars
    -Bar end mirrors
-Split caliper (one line per caliper) ABM braided front brake lines.
-Tapered head bearings and front wheel bearings
-New EBC front brake pads (original rotors, "wave rotor" in back also with EBC pads)
    -Aluminum front fork stabilizer
-Heavier weight fork oil (done with new seal kit some years back...no leaks)
-Rear Shock rebuilt by Daugherty Racing and sprung for 180-220lb rider
-1/8 inch rear shock shim (for rake/trail improvement)
-GIVI tail rack mounts with Monokey adaptor plate ready to go. (acts as nice tail protection otherwise)
    -R&G Frame sliders
-Corbin Gunfighter saddle, reupholstered by Eddie's Upholstery last year.
-Wheels and Grab Handles were powder coated gloss black a couple years ago. Stator cover and oil pan were "hi temp" painted black when they were off the bike.
-Adjustable footpegs in the "same height, but 1 inch forward" position.
-Bark buster type handguard/wind deflectors to put on during the cold months if desired.
-PUIG Windscreen, and small flyscreen to choose from.
    -RAM mount on bars
-I kept the factory set and tail cowl, but don't use either
    -New rear tire, CONTI Motion

    ELECTRONICS:
    -
KOSO D64 analog/digital all in one gauge. (all wiring now located underneath airbox. This bike is probably not a good match for rookie bike guys, or those scared of custom wiring etc..lol)
-"Waterproof " Voltmeter with 2usb ports on handlebar.
-M-LOCK Keyless ignition (mounted in steering stem hole, theft proof, impossible to hot wire)
-Dominator II, twin projector headlights on fork mounting brackets
    -LED blinkers
    -VFRness installed
    -Battery tender plugs installed
-"Ricks" rectifier installed with spare NEW Ricks under seat
-New stator from "Ricks" a couple years ago, and a new voltage pulse regulator(?) a couple years ago as well, both installed.
-New ignition relay last year (little odd green box near battery)

I'm sure I'm forgetting things, but you know how that is. All fluids have been kept up with, coolant is nice and new, as well as brake fluids etc etc. If you have questions just ask...I'll answer when I'm done weeping over selling this:Cry:

Not that anyone cares, but I decided to keep this guy. My FJR1300 is a baaad beast, but it doesn't fill the same niche that a (now classic) stripped down and lightened V4 piece of beautiful engineering does. This is my "raw" bike now. I put the mini fly screen on and the obnoxiously loud carbon fiber exhaust back on. Keeping this one for life..haha

Is the 9” delkevic really that loud? I have the 14” SS cab and am pretty sore at how quiet it is

Hell yes! So much so, that it's back off again. Lol. Whats the SS cab? I'd consider trading if you wanted possibly. The 9inch is a straight up race can. But then again, I work with my ears so maybe I'm sensitive.

Sorry, I meant to say can. It’s the low mount stainless, 14” with no baffle

Thinking of doing this myself...do you have a "build" thread?

Actually, I have one with bad fairings & some of LayinLow's mods might allow use of only upper fairings...like a VTR1000F. Those look nice IMO.

That is how I setup my yellow 2K VFR. No lower fairings also helps with maintenance duties too.
