    Hi,
I purchase a project RVF400 bike and trying to put it back together. There one loose wire I can't figure where it goes. It look like wire came out of oil pressure switch but I dont see where it would connect to. It has same wire connector like thermostat wire. Please see the pic and assist if possible.

    thanks.

It's either the oil pressure sending unit or to the pulse generator.

Thought that one is next to the thermostat - think its the temp guage.

I have the one connector to thermostat already on it. I think the connector I might be missing is maybe the neutral switch since every else on my dashboard light up except for neutral switch. Also, I check the lead and it has 12v coming out of it. I check main trunk wiring harness and no luck for any missing connection.

    thanks

studying the wiring diagram should reveal all  agreed that if it's a single wire like thermo connection it's probably neutral switch as you guess.

Yes, and it's part of the pulse generator harness. The wire has a different type of sheathing, almost a fabric, when I saw the pic, I knew.
