1990 VFR Electric Starter Clutch interchange ?

    I have a 1990 VFR with a broken Electric Starter Clutch, what years will interchage with the 1990, I saw a 1987 Electric Starter Clutch and it look virtually the same ? Is this true ?? Anybody help !!

    not sure on that '87 but I have one from a '90 in my for sale cheap pile

    I can confirm the Gen 2 starter clutch is compatible.

    Starter clutch is mechanical, not electrical, so does he maybe mean the starter relay/solenoid ???
