1986 vfr700f stator prob?

    I found out that when I check the ohms on the stator wires that all three are showing 2ohms then bump 3 ohms and back to two ohms. I checked each wire for continuity by touching each stator wire to a ground and no continuity. Also checked volts ac output running and at 2000 rpm it was showing about 38. So my question is the 2 bumping 3 ohms telling me to also get a new stator. Note: Started checking when I found the stator connector pretty much fried. New stator or not is the question.....

    Repair the fried connectors, then check the system charging voltage across the battery terminals at about 5000 rpm. 14.5 vdc is GOLDEN, problem solved....for now. Less than 13v, replace R/R.
