Hello all, For sale/pickup is a 1986 Honda VF500F, in wrecked but part-able/restore-able condition. I started my riding journey on this bike and loved it dearly. Unfortunately several years ago I was involved in an accident on a major highway due to a HOV lane-cutter and shattered my wrist and wrecked the bike. Since then I had acquired a VFR750 and sadly the 500 has fallen by the wayside while life's other urgencies have caught up to me and I don't have the time to restore it. It is located in southern San Diego, California. It comes with a set of new fairings in a different color scheme that I had intended to replace the broken bits with, as well as the engine I pulled out of it when I replaced the engine due to the previous owner being a nimrod. Almost all of the damage is localized to the front end of the bike, mainly being the instrument cluster/headlight/handlebars as I had rear-ended a Nissan Frontier, just barely unable to swerve completely out of the way. I'm asking 500$ for it but to be completely honest, I just want it to go to someone who loves these V4s as much as I do and who would either rebuild it, customize it, or use it's parts to restore their own bike. If someone would be willing to come pick it up on their own I'd probably just give it away, although some cash to give to the landlords where it's stored for all the B.S. they've had to put up with, it being in the driveway and all, would be welcome. It is a salvage title originally I believe as I've lost the title but I could be wrong. It is owned by me though, and PNO'd since the accident. No fees owed.
