Hi All Need a bit of advice before I get the spanners out .....again. Just started up the VFR after winter layup and fuel everywhere. I wip off the carbs and clean the float needle jets and check float heights. Replace ..... no change. I am thinking O ring gone on fuel rail or spilt pipe or O rings on float bowls not doing their job, but cannot see anything obvious. Any ideas? The only other thing I can think of is that I changed the pump last year [points burnt out on old one] could this strong pump be showing up weakness in the system ?

My second issue is with the CDI box, sparks are looking a bit 'red' and I want to use a newer one I have BUT my bike has the extra crank sensor that the later CDI box doesn't use. I have plugged in the box but no luck. Am I limited to using the very early box only? What does the crank trigger actually do? Seeing that later models do without it why can't I.
