    Hell0 all

I was wondering if anyone has updated information for 1986 vfr 750 fairings? I found the post from way back and it looks as if vfrchuck is the way to go. Does anybody know if this person is still around. Or if anybody has new more updated information about parts. I would love to have Vfrchuck make fairings for me. It seems the way to go.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    G

please take note of the posts above. I have thought of making the wait time threads for VFRchuck sticky which means one of the would always be at the top. It's always the same, the product is good, the service is shit. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend his product to VFRWorld members just because we have had too many people say the same thing. I'd love to be able to endorse him as we do other places that members have repeatedly told us have good products, but he has taken too long too many times. He keeps people strung along on ebay until it's too late to leave feedback from what I hear. He just has bad business practice and I'm tired of members getting burned. If things change in the future, I'd be happy to amend this post, but until I hear that several members have had good AND quicker transactions, I will stand by my post.

    Reg,

I certainly agree with you putting that stick thingy on vfrchuck's thread. It is a shame that what is reported to be a superior product, comes with poor customer service. There could very well be quite valid reasons he is unable to produce these any faster, but if that is the case, then maybe he should either give the customer a heads up himself of the long wait they should expect, or decline the offer to purchase his product.

Of course, if his delivery performance improves, you can always make note of this on such a thread and give him the earned boost. This way the ball would be back in his court to do what he will with it. He very may well choose to ignore it, but then at least our membership will be aware of the issues.

Thanks again Reg and mods for your work on this site.

As a long time owner of Chuck's work, I do have to admit that despite the fact that everybody is right about the longer-than-normal wait times for the delivery of his work, I have a LOT of his stuff on my bike and his work is well worth the wait. I've actually discussed this issue with him, and I found that he still has a full time job, a wife, and a house in addition to the VFR work he does, which is really just a side job for him that he does out of enjoyment of these bikes and the desire to see more 2nd gen bikes stay on the road.

Wait times be damned, I still have a few last mods that I intend to have Chuck take care of for me (ie F2 wheel conversions, front and rear). At the end of the day, it all comes down to how bad you want/need his parts and if the wait time is worth what you get out of the deal to you specifically.

I guess I'm out 200ish bucks...... So I'm back on the market for two lowers for my 86 VFR. I'm glad for the guys that did get things from VFRChuck. I would have loved to have my on my bike this year...:(

try three years and no passenger seat cowl for a bike that I don't have any more...
However the rest of the "complete" body kit that I got was very nice after 8 months.

You should post up another ad on CL and here and over at VFRD. I'm sure someone would find a home for it...

    Then there's ebay...

    Me too!

I spent over $400 on lowers, a new fairing, and stays and that was back in Feb-Mar 2011. Communication was sh_t and I still haven't received anything. I also waited past the period on eBay where I could leave feedback, so I am out all that money with no recourse. Interestingly enough, when I contacted eBay so that they could tell me that they wouldn't help me, they suggested that I call Charles "Chuck" Crites directly to settle it with him. Of course, the phone number Chuck provided was missing a digit or two, so the circumstantial evidence points to him intentionally defrauding people.

I really hope to meet him one day...
