Does look nice though. You could always use another? I wish mine was white over red.

I'd offer to provide Stray with professional help by snapping up that thing so he's not tempted, I can be in Pickering in a coupla hours.... but I'd rather have a Gen3/4 personally.... and OK with the Gen5....

Not on my "Must Have" list thankfully.

Im now having to get VERY selective in my purchases. (ie None right now)

I plan to sell somewhere between 2 and 6 bikes from my current hoard of 17, im just out of room (again).

I see a KTM RC8 in my future and may be an MV Agusta F4 as well ( if I can get closer to selling 6). Of course neither of these bikes are practical for a retired guy so I may also end up with a newer CB1000R, a Valkyrie Goldwing or something that I could actually ride. Decisions Decisions.

To further complicate matters, Yamaha just released news of a 2022 VR46 (Valentino Rossi ) edition R1 to honour his retirement. As a die hard Rossi fan, this would go splendidly with my 2010 VR46 R1. However if the cost is anything like the "Petronas" edition R1 from last year ($54,000 USD), I wont be giving it a second thought.

Im actually trying to avoid the Kijiji Classifieds, but thats not going well (as you can tell since I posed this link). Part of my self help/cunning plan is trying to entice you lot to buy stuff so I dont. LOL.

My sell off List for the spring will include:

94 GSXR750 Pepsi (Will be finished by January)
84 CBX750 (will be restored by March)
    06 Buell XB9r

    Others I "may" sell:

    97 CBR600F3
    88 Hawk GT/NT647 RC31
    89 CB1

Yea, I love spending time in the "Man Cave" looking at all the bikes etc, cleaning , polishing ,wrenching etc, but somedays I say to myself "WTF am I doing with all these", I ride 3 or 4 out of 17, but I still get caught up in guying more stuff I dont ride.

Ontario Canada is a long way to travel for a CB1 fellas.

I dont disagree with you guys re the comfort issue. Some of mine are more like 2 wheel pieces of art (RSV Factory) , I see the MV A F4 the same way.

But... i'm rapidly getting to the point where if I buy something I need to be able to ride it...

I have this inner conflict where I like the beauty of exotic sport bikes, but they're bloody uncomfortable and then I start looking at the practical but not sexy stuff.

I figure if I can get the hoard down to 10, I can buy at least one nice piece of 2 wheeled art and one practical rider.

If I was really smart id sell off 9 of the current hoard and buy 2 and keep my total at 10 or less. Not sure im that smart though

No bike is every toooooo far. Ok Ontario is basically forever away but I still have dibs. lol I am eyeballing yet another bike, but I shouldn't. I can't even move in my garage and I am considering buying one of those tuff sheds from Home Depot to start a mini moto garage.

The CB1 is the bike that got me into racing and my career. It taught me how to actually corner, brake and carry speed since everyone was on a 600 or higher at the time. That bike also started my mechanical career. I had no money, only a bike, college, and work. It was the very first vehicle I serviced myself with borrowed tools from a local motorcycle junk shop. ahh good times. I couldn't drink beer while working...lol

Is that bike still around or didn't another enthusiast pick it up?

I had 2 CB1's. One was rough and my buddy bough it to restore. The one I still have here now is the nicer one.
