I have owned this VFR for 20 years and had 42000 problem free miles but now it seems to be running rich? It has a Motad stainless exhaust which is black and sooty at the end. Also I can start it without choke in the morning quite easily, I have checked the carbs and the chokes are NOT sticking on and it has a new air filter! When the bike was was newer it would barely start without full choke and no throttle. Another problem is a glitch at 2500 revs especialy in 1st. Any ideas?
How long has the Motad system been on the bike. It might need to be rejetted since the exhaust flows more freely now.
