Hope I'm putting this in the right spot. So I got my 85 VF700F Interceptor last summer (after it had been changing hands on Craigslist without being used much for the past 25 years. It only had 5000 miles on it when I got it!) and it was working great. I got my modified shock from Jamie Daugherty and everything was perfect. Then I dropped her. Twice. Then I started having issues with the throttle not giving me any engine response, and stalling out from stopped, even when I knew I was giving her enough gas. So I figured I would take my carbs out and figure what was wrong. Turns out there was a nice hole in one of my diaphragms that a previous owner tried to patch and it failed. Got the replacement diaphragm installed, along with new jets, valves, and seals, put the carb back together last week and tonight was the night to get the carb reinstalled. But there is a hose that seems to be out of place and I can't figure out where it goes to. I really hope I don't have to take the carb back out, cause that was a PITA the first time.
Carry on my wayward son-- there'll be peace when you are done. That's just an open-ended air vent line for the carb bowls.
