Hey everybody, I just bought my Interceptor two weeks ago and three hours after owning the bike it died. I don't really want to say I know enough about fixing motorcycles to get around... otherwise I wouldn't be in this problem, so I need help. The bike tries to turn over and everything, and I've encountered a problem similar to this before on a bike I had a while back, so at first I thought it was a problem with the ignition coils so I bought ones on ebay however, still no spark. The resistance between the tabs that come out of the coils I had and the coils I just bought are all 3.5 ohms about. Whenever I try to touch the multimeter between the spark plug lead receptacle and a mounting bolt, my multimeter says there is an open circuit which really puzzles me. Is this correct or did I just buy dead coils? I then tested the pulse generator and it read 350 ohms between both of the two farthest pins. Another problem I have is whether the engine switch is in the on or off position, the bike will try starting up when I hit the start button. I also tested to see if there was any power getting to the coils and I got a number measured in mV.
