I just recently purchased a 1985 vf500 and was given the motor off of a 1987 vfr700. I was wondering what modifications I would have to make for the new motor to fit and if the carbs from the 500 would work. Thanks in advance for any help!
it can be done, but it would require cutting and welding. you would be better off selling the 700 and pick up a 500 that would drop right in..
