1985 gas tank on a 1986 vf500f

i have a 1986 vf500f, that i'm trying to bring back from the dead. my problem is the gas tank that came on was rusted beyond repair.

we found a 1985 tank, but since the 85's have fuel pump and the 86's don't i was wondering if anyone has been able to get the 85 tank to work on an 86.

i'm missing the petcock valve for both tanks, but i can't find the right petcock for either. just looking for suggestions.
