Just a quick question. I have a 1984 VF700 which I'm rebuilding and I'm curious to know what the thoughts are with simply installing the top end oil kit. I know holeshot has one for $329.00. The bike has 24k on the motor and seems to run just fine.

Is there a mileage that these typically go bad at? Just curious how many of you are actually running this mod and what your experience has been.

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

part out the bike and take the $329 to get you a bullet-proof 2nd gen or later.

Many threads on this topic. There is little proof available as to whether there are any real benefits to an oil kit. Maybe save your top end at the expense of a rod bearing.
