Thanks guys, I have a heap of the non-resistor plugs so I would like to use them up.
The new to me 84 VF1000R is getting some basic roadworthy work done with the target being on the road in 2 weeks.
It has a hand made 4:2:1 exhaust with a Yoshi end can, nice note but the upper pipe before the end can is in the perfect spot to melt your boot heel.

Have to make a wire mesh guard to keep your boot away, doesn't have to clear by a lot

    Here it is.

looks well made and is very neat but the melting heel thing is a bit of a pain. Also means I cant put the stock indicators on the back.
