1983 VFR 750 parts

Hi guys.. just parked a first gen vfr next to my 4th gen in the garage.. deal I could not pass up.. missing a left side cover and looking for and it came with a full lower fairing which I had not seen before..plus side it came with new tires chain and sprockets.. corbin seat..brand new chrome valve covers and left side case cover because the original owner did not like the corrosion .. turn signals broken clean off somehow .. anyway.. 400$ well spent I think any input on location of the left sidecover would be very helpful..will post pics soon..

 

Last I read 86 was the first year of the VFR.. :wink:

 

Looked on eBay, theres two Rt side covers only.
Never know try Searchtempest. Com

83,84,85 are VF. 86 and on are VFR.

I just bought all the body work and complete tank from szkimn2001, because he found out engine was blown. It turns out that all the body work is actually from a 1985! I though someone had repainted bike, but when I got parts yesterday, the tank was obviously NEW, and factory paint job. I searched Google till I found a match to the color scheme, and it turns out to be 1985. If anyone has a left side cover for a 1985 VF700, I would love to buy it. I have two '83 covers that could be repainted, but would like to get a direct match.

OR, if you have an '85, could you please pass on the the factory paint codes? Thanks
