Its official, I finally broke into the tens! And to top it off they gave me a trophey since I was the fastest bike out! I thought you guys would be proud, our little VFR800 is no slouch. I spent the whole night whooping up on two modded ninja 600s, one a blue 2011 with an Akrapovic exhaust and the other was a green 2012 with a kn filter and an M4 ehaust.

    THANKS!!!!
It has been a long time coming. I have been taking this bike to the track for 3 years now, I was sitting at 11.2 for the past year and finally figured this bike out.
Oh and our photographer is awesome huh?!

    Bloody well done!
That's a long way from the 12.3 116 mph I was posting on my old 3rd gen. I couldn't get it into the 11s so to get into the 10s is amazing IMHO.

How many clutches did you go through on this quest and what gearing are you running?

Congratulations. The VFR is no slouch. So what exactly are the modifications you've done?

Surprising that they would let you guys run wearing jeans.. Is this an NHRA sanctioned strip?

I have been yelled at for approaching 120 mph and not being in leathers with the previous owners, but so far this year i keep getting a little faster each time and they haven't yelled at me yet... I really thought it was going to happen when i broke into the tens and they stopped me and said i need to go up to the tower and speak with the manager, then they gave me a trophy lol. It is definitely an NHRA sanctioned track and I don't want to get them in trouble so lets try to keep this between us... lol I probably should have thought about that before I posted everything up.

If it makes anyone feel better those are Kevlar jeans.

Good job that's no slouch of a time. Get your reaction time down to something decent and you'll be solid 10.80's.

I can't exactly tell from the photos, but is your center stand still mounted in place while you're on the track? That would be some more weight you could shed . . . nice clean run, great time!
