08 VFR800 Sargent Seat fitment issues

Just picked up a sargent seat used... it was 100% perfect.

But i put it on the 08 VFR 800 and the gap on the right side is bigger than the one on the left. It's almost like it's hitting something ? I tried to sand off the bottome tabs by the lock... that didnt work. I made the whole bigger where the latch is... that didnt work.

Anyone able to figure out how to get these seats to fit better ? I cant be the only person who has a bigger gap on the right side of their seat. It's not a huge deal but it bugs me.
