I bought a wrecked 06 vfr (600 miles, mfrd 12/05) this weekend and have it in rehab. Completely unfamiliar with the bike - owner and service manuals have been ordered but in the meantime, can anyone tell me where to find the fuse panel? The radiator fan won't come on so prob'ly a fuse or relay. Also what is the little knob that sticks out by the case cover on the right side, just above the brake pedal?

Here's a picture just home from the junkyard.

Thanx for any info you can provide.

On my 93, the fuse block is under a panel below the right side handle bar in th eupper fairing. I do not know if they moved it on later models tho.

On my 98 many of the fuses are in the battery compartment. Check there.

If you mean the knob that is just above the right side case cover sort of tucked in by the fairing, Black with a phillips head screw on the end it is the idle adjustment screw.
The fuse panel is located under the little corner piece of the fairing that goes from the instrument panel to the right side fairing. It is sort of a small angular piece.

Doesn't look wrecked to me. What was wrong with it?

Went down on the left side. Scratched the cowl & left lower, broke the clutch lever and LH peg, bent the LH clip-on. I picked it up for a little over $4k, bought ~$250 in parts, $300 for convertibars, and will obfuscate the scratches in the plastic with buffing and filler. 2006 VFR with cosmetic damage under $5k seemed like a pretty good deal. Found and fixed the fan problem last night.
