    I need some opinions here.

I like either the white '06 or the red '07 (the black '06 is sharp but as we know it shows all the marks and dust) the red, white and blue for '07 is cool but I just can't imagine it in my own garage every day.

So with that said some opinions regarding this would really help. I don't know if anyone has seen the '07 red in person yet, it won't be available for me to see untill november.

Heh, i think you should get the red....then we can swap out plastics and stuff with my black and you can have a beautiful black bass boat color and I can have the red :)

As far as keeping it clean though...i havent noticed it be like a lot of typical black cars, trucks bikes in regards to showing all the dirt but i think that is because of the metallic in the color. It looks very NICE clean for sure but I have yet to have to wash mine and just clean the bugs off after a ride :)

Man there's some good deals going on right now at a lot of Honda Dealers wanting to unload the 06s, that white one is very nice ask WVFR how he likes his. so you'd be better off IMO to get an 06 as there no differance other than color and you all ready said you don't care for the RWB and the red isn't that hot true Red of past VFRs just to let ya know.

    ok this is it

Thanks for the opinions guys, not sure about that "bass boat look" but hey maybe for somebody. OK the deliberation is over, (drum roll) ha ha, white it is.

one last thought though regarding colour - white bike with white hard bags or
white bike with the black bags. Crazy I know but just a thought.

It's a good thing it's friday because this is by far the least important decision in my life yet it finds a way to take up so much of my time.

Strange thing is that this is my 3rd street bike, yet I continue to deliberate about the smallest things. (PS, it took me 5 minutes to buy my last house) the new bike-all summer.

06 White is my vote. It'll save you some dough and it's the coolest color out there.

    Everyone knows red is faster?

Why else are ducattis, ferraris etc red.

But seriously - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I really like the tricolour of the 07 - but its not available here yet.

The 06 cheery red (one i just got) - personally i really like much better than white or black. Blue is a close second - which you can get here in Aussie, but its the 05 model.

The clear indicator lenses in the 06 models look really cool. Im thinking that Australia colours are different than the North American ones.

    Check out my photos.

Hopsterman i wanted an '06 as i like the clear lenses and the red colour. As it stood on the day i was buying the stealership would not give me the price i wanted. My blue '05 was on the shop floor (still new) so i took a deal on it (they tried to sell me a VTR 1000 as well if i could not get VFR).

I see you have Staintunes too, baffles in or out?

    Baffles in,

Ive left the baffles in, at least until ive run it in.

Might take em out one day to see what it sounds like, but on long trips, it might be too noisy mabee.

Blue is cool, and theyre going a grand cheaper then the red.

Wind noise rather than exhaust is your enemy on long trips, try a few different brand / types of ear plugs to work out which is best for you.

Or pay a visit to your local earmold distributor. I got my custom earmold plugs at the bike show in Sydney last November. They are great. Very comfy, still in good condition, and work fantastic. Put them in and pull them out in a second.

And back to the original topic... get the 07 Burgundy one. That is the same colour as our 06 Burgundy. I got mine because I couldn't wait for the black to show up, and I am glad I didn't. The black here in 06 was a glossy one, with a metallic fleck through it. Looked okay in the shop, but looked a little girly in the sunlight.
