      Reply to your Q on 6-2-08: Caasey, this is definately an R/R issue. Make sure you charge your battery fully (12.89 volts). You can test the stator, unplug it from teh R/R at teh connector, next to the engine case. Thats the one witrh 3 yellow wires. Start your bike, and place the + lead into one of the connectors on the stator side. Increase the engine rpm and watch the volts increase. Point of note, make sure the meter is set to volts a/c as the r/r converts from a/c to d/c current. Anyway, the voltage should rise to its peak which I think is about 75 volts unless you reach 5K first. Watch the meter, if the voltage drops off, then the stator itself is bad.

      Sorry for the delayed response. Some of the new features have me searching for messages I can reply to. lol. I Haven't tried the R1 R/R mod, but it should work as long as you wire it correctly.
