      Hi Carmine
Sorry about no news but new job is very good but very very busy with a lot of travelling around the country so no time to go on internet and so very tired but happy every day.
You must of know to message me because today Iwas going to tell about my Sunday on the racetrack with bambino. So was magnificent, the bike she is very happy to race against most bikes 500 ccs more and because very light can brake later and get through corners quicker than bigger bikes, let top speed down the long straights but pick up places in corners again. So much fun I do about 60 laps in the day and so end of day very tired and very happy, cant wait to do again soon.
How you my amigo I guess you look forward to Xmas i forget you guys dont have holidays at this time, our yearly break is over Xmas /New Year and start work again about 2nd week.
Christine is good but her job in retail is very stressful at this time of year and she is "hanging out" for holiday to get sanity back.
Nice to hear from you and nearly to count days until September and Italy here we come!!!!
      Ciao to you and Anita
      Pete.

      Hi Pete,
long time without news about you. Every thing all right ? Job ? And what about the "bambino" ? Here the weather is very very fine, about 29 °C and no rain ! It is a pleasure to go to work with my old lady. Thank you for appreciating the pic submission for the 2010 calendar. Hope Christine is well too. Well, in this period, Anita's mother (94 y.o.) is with us I think till Xmas time. Nice to hear from you, buddy !
      Ciao and stay safe.
      Your friend Carmine

      Hi Carmine

Sorry to hear about your elbow I have had pain in elbow before due to my having played competition Badminton some years ago, very painful,I know.Yes R/R is all fixed but had to buy new battery as well so a bit expensive!!!! Yes Italian lessions coming along nicely, now I have a good paying "proper job" again Christine and I are talking about Europe trip again maybe September next year so keep fingers crossed that this time no hiccups!!!Cant wait to get over there to see you guys,it will be fantasic. Now no longer riding a bike for work my weekend rides sre much more enjoyable and yesterday had a very nice ride with some friends only downside was the wind rose to gale force while we were out and was very scarey coming over a big hill in such conditions.
Hope your arm improves soon Im sure you will recover as they say you cannot kill VFR owners they just refuse to die.
Great to hear from you as always.
      Regards to Anita.
      Mio Amigo

      Hi Pete,
just a little time I do not write. What about the R/R ? Did you repair it ? My bike is ok but I have some problems with my left elbow. My elbow is rather swollen (is this the right term ?) and I have much pain. The doctor gave me some cortisone but till now no appreciable results. He also said (he is a "vespa user") that this depends on too much years drive on bad roads...Well, I hope to get well fast and I do not renounce to ride my beloved old VFR. So, let me have news about you. Are you still learning italian ? I wish you to speak italian better than my english !
Ciao, amico mio and stay safe !

      Hi Pete,
I hope the winter is not so bad for you riding the "little Postie bike" ! Well, we are still working : Anita at the school of languages (she teaches French, as you know) and I at Telecoms...Sometimes we carry out some translations and we can get some extra-money. I think we will be on Holidays in August, as we use to do. I don't know if we will go to Greece because Anita's mother (93.y.o.) is a little "tired" and wants to see us.
Anywhere we will go, you will have a card from us ! Let us know about you both and think that somewhere there is always the sun for you.
PS. My Vfr is running great ! Old but charming Lady !!!
Ciao my fiend, stay safe and in touch with us.

      Hi Pete !
Some days without my VFR : yes, again the scary R/R !!!! On the way back home, no battery, no lights---but the problem was the R/R. Now, it is ok and everything seems to be all right (hope...).Well, what's up in N.Z ? And your job ? A warm greeting to you and to your family from us.

      Hi Pete,
My bike is better. The job on the rad has been useful. Now, engine is not overheating.
Well, if I understand, are you changing type of job ? I hope for a better one ! I'd like to attend a race course with a professional rider ! Let me know about it. We are well, still fighting with job and various professional activities (translations...)
My last work has was a translation from italian to greek for the Law Court of Naples (we are enrolled as official translator at this Court). Well, nice to hear from you and hope that you can get all the things at your desire.
Ciao Pete, italian is not difficult....
      Lamps to you buddy !

      Hi Pete,
Before all, how are you ? Last Saturday I changed all the coolant in my VFR (the rad was so dirty !) It was not a difficult job, but, as I said, I had not enough space in the place where my Babe sleeps...well, the performance of the engine changed in a way I can say INCREDIBLE ! Now my VFR is roaring as a young bike . All the problems derived from the bad coolant circulation in the system...with susequent overheating.....etc....
Ok, hope you and your family are well and I will be happy to receive news about you, buddy !
P.s. Are you learning italian ? I am sure that if you find the time to study, your italian will be better than my english.

      Hi, Pete
Very Sorry You Did Not Yet Receive My Postcard. Imagine That Some Friends In Naples Received Their Cards Two Days Ago, And I Sent These Cards Together With Yours ! Well, Postal Service Is....you Understand What I Mean.
As Regards My Life, It Is Ok Now. My Vfr Needs Some Maintenance Job : As The Temp Is Still High (we Have 30°c Average Temp...) My Bike Is A Little Overheating. I Think It Is Time To Clean The Rad And The Entire Cooling System. Damn....my Problem Is That I Can Do It But I Live In Apartment And My Bike "sleeps" In A Garage (a Parking Covered Place I Mean) Where There Is Not Place Or Tools To Do Any Work...and Mech.assistance Is Very Very Expensive.
So, I Am So Glad To Hear From You ! I Hope You And Your Family Are Well !
      Lamps To You Buddy !
      Your Friend Carmine

Sorry for the late reply!!! What can I tell you of mu experiences with the VTR? I actually have two of them, one is a track bike. I'm quickly finding the limits of a stock VTR at the track. Mostly suspension and ground clearance issues. Next most important are rider issues. I seem to go braindead at inopertune times. One resulted in a lowside at Mid-Ohio in T-7. We got it straightened out and back on the track after missing one session. If I can answer any questions about my bike feel free to ask.
