SO what did you do for mothers day? I drove 250 miles from the California central coast to the Mojave desert, Apple Valley to see dear old mom and grandma. Grandma is 95! I will be so lucky to see that! A few pics along the way so far. First stop near hwy 158 then a stop at the flower shop. More to come. Longest ride on the VFR so far.

You know, if there were places in NJ that looked like this, I might not hate this festering hell hole of a state so much.

Still here till tuesday. You would not believe what George looks like now. Ill take some pics on my way out for you. Besides a logistics air base now its a ghost town and all the house have been ran sacked....its a sad site. I use to go there alot for one reason or another. I lived here from 79 -81 and then went to Montana, Oregon, Washington then back to Apple valley in 1982. I left in 1993 and moved over to the coast. Originally I grew up in Sylmar Ca.
The flowers got put into the rear bag, had to ask for 5" to be chopped off. I always stop by this same stand near Ventura to pick up some flowers for the girls. Ill make sure to post up a Joshua Tree for everyone!

Sounds good Reg! I just need some student loans so I dont have to work! Yep all back together except for my left poser mirror. It one of my stripped down 4 gens painted. Otherwise it rode good and I like the Givi screen! It rocks for touring! Jesus tried to run me off the road after the flower shop on a city street. I was wishing I didnt put the stock quiet pipe back on there for a second. But the I got beside him and told him to put damn the DAMN TACO and DRIVE :) Oh.....did you think Jesus as Christ our Lord? Sorry....

Former George AFB is where they filmed "The Fast & The Furious" isn't it?

I'm a little peeved. I went to the flower shop on base to have flowers sent to my mother. I called her & she never received anything. I have a credit card receipt but she didn't get them.

Nice pics. I could never get enough of the CA central coast, that's where I broke in my VFR when I was living in the Bay Area.

I was like, that can't be Brian cuz the bodyparts aren't flapping and it has foot pegs!

We need to go touring up around Lake Isabella/Sierras this summer. My folks have a place out there we can base out of.

Yah you were headin south on the 101. I was heading up to Pismo to chill with the folks.

I saw the bike, and went pa-shaw. Figured it was being used for target practice somewhere.

    It's looking snazzy btw.

I hit the sand again but this time stayed upright. It was had to find a decent tree close to the road. I did make a bit of a detour to get some shots. Still had some snow on the mountains and got to play dirt bike for about a mile in some road construction. What fun!
