I bought Oggy Knobbs from Australia, search this site and you'll see the postings. I unfortunately had a low speed (~10 mph) crash on my 2007, the Oggy knobbs performed magnificently. Only minor scratches on the crankcase, fairing and footpegs. Saved me thousands.

I researched this issue extensively a couple years ago when I first got my bike. In my opinion, those mushroom type are junk. I went with R&G sliders, yeah I had to drill through the fairings but it really wasn't that bad at all. If you ever get the chance to compare the two mounted on a bike you'll see the huge difference. It will be very clear to you which ones will provide actual protection in a slide or drop.

Checked out the website for the oggy knobs and not so sure. Looks like they end up getting positioned over the radiator also. When you went down, did the metal arm bend at all??? How much were they??
