Hi, as far as I know, the cables need to be replaced for longer ones.
If you already have the longer ones, then the standard routing should be perfect...

I had a handlebar kit on my old bike (Triumph Speed Four) and loved it. How's the fit on the VFR? Any fairing clearance issues? Problems with the length of the brake/clutch lines?

I'd love to get a handlebar on my VFR...

After @10 tries I got it,you can run the throttle cables behind the forks, behind the horn, under frame on left and then to the injector linkage,A bit tight but it worked. The clutch+brake hoses worked fine.Looks realy good, ill send pics when done.
    Thanks for advice,Bob

I have the Superbike bar kit on my '99 and it works great. I had to reroute the cables, but the stockers were JUST long enough. Very comfortable and you can swap bars if you want a different bend. I had Heli Bars before, but they weren't quite high enough for my liking. Overall a very nice addition and the quality is first rate.

    Have any pics?

I saw a post from someone who just drilled his top triple and installed Motocross bar risers directly. I haven't checked out mine closely to see how much material there is, but I'm considering that too - probably significantly cheaper...

    Speigler Superbike Bar Conversion

No problem guys - I'll get some pics this weekend. As I recall, the toughest cable to reroute was the choke cable, so on 2000 and newer bikes you won't need to worry about that. All in all, its a great swap and I'd highly recommend it. Its is waaaay more comfortable to ride nowand the quality of the parts is top notch. You'd almost think it was made by the Germans or something...oh, wait a minute.......

    Cheers.
