Looking at a 96 VFR750 that has 71K miles. The price is super right, but I wonder if this too high a mileage for this type of bike. How long do Honda V4's last?

there has been many posts lately where guys say they'd expect 100k or more, if the bike is properly maintained

Ha, I'd need to see it. That said if it's been taken care of, then no biggie. This is funny had I not been in the accident with my 96 I bought new and kept at the pace I was then and now I'd have some where between 70-80k on it and I know how mine was being taken care of. so it's not out of line that nice ones with this kind of mileage are around.

I've come across a 96 VFR750 with 71k miles that needs "a little work". It's $1000. I think as long as it doesn't need an engine, or transmission or something, it's mine.

    Mileage

I just bought a 2000 VFR with just over 39,000 miles on it. Bike seems tight and well maintained. I hope to go 100,000 on it.

My 92 has 136K on it, no problems. Routine maintenance is all.

I sold my '96 VFR in 2001, with 74,502 miles on it. Still ran fine.

Currently have about 77,000 plus on my 2000 VFR, running very good.
