Yeah, the pipes fit together loosely then it all comes together with the springs. No baffles in the cans for me. Why bother getting the new ones if they sound like the originals?

Alaskan. Thanks for the link on the How-to. I'm planning to buy the Leo Vince pipes pretty soon. Found a good deal on ebay for $500.00 with free shipping.

Hey, I recognise that dodgy home job! That's my "handy-work". I ended up fitting the bracket, not long after that blog-post (which I mentioned in an edit). No new pictures to show for it though.

I also tried using the spacers in various combinations, in between the LV clamp and rubber stock mounts. No matter which combination I tried, the pipes didn't line up any better - in fact, the opposite was true (i.e. ended up worse...) Prior to fitting the springs, it may well have been possible to put pressure on the pipes to line them up to fit the bracket - but I believe that if you have to force things, it's the wrong way to be doing the job. At least for my install, no spacers and a slight "enlarging" to the bracket hole was enough for the job to come together neatly.

IMHO, the fact that the bracket had an elongated hole to begin with was enough to suggest to me that LV had designed the system with a fair tollerance for "differences" between individual pipe sets.

End result is: "It hasn't fallen apart yet!"

If anyone can help... I just installed my LV carbon pipes last weeekend. Love them! No big issues with alignment or anything but I was having an issue getting the baffles out. It says to unscrew the screw thats holding them in place but it is a oneway screw. Am I missing something or do you have to drill the screw out? Help please.

I used a liberal dose of WD40 around the one way screws and managed to get enough purchase on the head of the screw with a pair of multi-grips.

Sometimes irrational swearing will help too!

Yeah, I started a fire with my instructions, as well. I had two spacers and two spuds left over. I grabbed the one way screw heads with a pair of vice grips too loosen/ remove them.
I love em and they do sound better over time been on about a year now.

Reading around the forums, they seemed to have a good reputation and were relatively cheap. - For non-US customers the freight isn't free, which means I feel we must be subsidising a service that we don't benefit from, but beggars can't be choosers...

Another thing for non-US customers... I can't remember what freight service I chose, but it couldn't be tracked on-line once it left the US. So it just disappeared for a few days. No harm done - it arrived safe and sound, I would just prefer to know who was holding on to my new toy in case it stalled at some point during delivery
