I Have Recently Been Asked By A Friend Of Mine Who Builds Choppers Out Of His Garage If I Would Be Interested In Selling My Rear Swingarm Off My Vfr. He Offered Me 600.00 For The Wheel, Arm And The Brake Assembly. So Im Wondering If I Should Just Part The Bike Out Or Sell As A Whole. My Wondering Mind Just Keeps Asking Me Which Way To Go To Make More Bucks. I Dont See Vfr Parts Selling For Very Much On E-bay And Being My Bikes A 90 Its Not Worth Very Much. Does Anyone Know How Much A Running Engine Go's For With 28xxx Miles? Also Im Thinking About Getting A New Bike Soon And Thats Why Im Getting Rid Of It One Way Or Another.

Lately on my local CL there was a whole 86 bike for 400, or just the engine for 300. Another person was selling an 87 with one part missing for 200, and yet another person has a 4G swingarm for 230. There was a whole engine from a 3g that set on Ebay for 450 dollars for a long time, no bids.

I am going to say worth will depend on your location, I know there are not tons of VFR's around here (but there are a few, hi guys!).

Well if your looking to get a new bike, but your runs and is driveable. I'd wait until you're ready to get the newer one. Then consider parting it out. Sounds like you'd make out better parting out, but then you have the peices laying around. Unless you get lucky, sell your budy the rear end, and someone else buys the rest.

I'd buy any useable plastics from you...
    Whats your price?

PM me if you want to sell the plastics.

Thank You All For The Reply, I Think I May Have The Whole Bike Sold Tonight! I Would Rather Sell It That Way Anyway.

As much as I would like o buy parts, if it's a good running bike, I'd rather see it as a whole.
