I just put a full Two Bros Exhaust on my 2000 VFR, My question is: Do I really have to have the two (2) sensors out of the stock exhaust, in the new exhaust? I do have them wound up and secured to the bike, but they are not in use.

    Thanks
    John

In order for the closed-loop fuel injection to work properly, the oxygen sensors have to be in the exhaust system at the correct distance from the cylinder head. I think Enrion makes a pipe with the proper mounting fixtures. In your case, I'd recommend using oxygen sensor eliminators.

Yep reckon a pair of oxygen sensor eliminators needed.

Where does one get one of these eliminators?

I have a bad/dead o2 sensor and am looking at a 4week wait for a new one from japan. ANYTHING would be better than taking a tzxi too and from work for 4 weeks.

Wire two 330 ohm resistors in the plugs, in the two holes opposite the plug boss in the wiring harness (plug boss pointing up, they are the two on the bottom...the other two are for the heat function of the HEGO).

Total cost 99 cents for 6 resistors at Radio Shack, if you can borrow a soldering iron and some electrical tape.

There are no issues with not running HEGOs in this app after the bike warms up and goes into open loop.
