I got the bike for little of nothing

 I had to put a new starter, new complete front braking system, a clutch master cylinder, and battery.

 I still need a starter solenoid, a windshield, brake switches, a paint job, and to do something about the carbs.

:blah: Ok I'm going to try and describe it as best I can.
starts up fine and idles at about 3k
    takes off fine
has no power above like 3k or 4k unles the choke is on then 6k or 7k
have been taking it up and down the road quite a bit and it seems to run a little the more I ride it but I am pretty sure that it should have more than this. The fastest I have had it going so far is 45mph

:smash: Oh ya did I mention that when it is in nuetral it revs up al the ways to 10k with no problem choke off and all.

:yield: My question is, is there a special method of syncing this style of carbs as related to my other bike a kaw kz750 with a inline four? I have read many many different people saying many different.

this is one that I actually built< i haven't tried it yet but the vacuum off the vf500 is connected on the fronts and rears. As compared to the other each carb having its own vacuum nipple on the carb.

I know the fronts are lean due to the plugs I pulled out were white.
The rears were black and wet so I guess thats lean, I think.

 Taking the bike down the road and back was very comfortable tho, so I am anxious on getting it going right and riding it daily. Thanks for any help in advance.

Sounds lean to me. Have you pulled the carbs completely off and went through them? Due to the age of the bike this is most likely your issue.

Got it whooped, I pulled the carbs pulled each jet out put a piece of wire through each sprayed carb cleaner through each put it all back together and shes running like a top. Now just need to do some front suspension work. Is there anyone that has found a way to put a stabilizer on a vf500f?
