Hey, where can I get the tear-offs ? I keep having the foamed milk from my capaccino blow up on my face, even when I drink from the crazy straw and keep the beverage in my bar-mounted cup holder. Would these tear offs help? I hate trying to wipe the dried milk froth off my Oakleys.

    Sincerely,
    Preppy Squidworth

Actually, that's a valid procedure for when getting new tires. They have a slippery compound on them that's used to help pull it from the tire molding hardware. If you want to go right from brand new tires to knee-dragging you better sandpaper that bastard! Otherwise just go pretty slow the 1st hundred miles and be ready for unexpected slips.

back when I had my 919 I was at the bike shop one day and I saw another 919. He had wear right to the edge of his tyres and I felt just a little umm inadequate (?).

Then I noticed he also had wear on his bar ends and his footrests and I stopped worrying...

true. when I first put conti road attacks on, I was using them all the way to the edge then I learned how to get my ass off the seat... I'm probably much safer now, and I have a little tire to spare...

Ya know its funny Reg, When I had a 180 on the 97 I had room to spare, But the bike handled slow and felt vaugue when I really had it leaned over.

now with the 170 rear I have no strip left, but I have more chicken strip left on the front than before with the 180. The bike feels better in turn in and handling, but not having much left to go, or really any to go, is a bit interesting, and I get off the seat. When I wore to the end recently I was off the bike with my knee touched down so I don't know how much more I can get off the bike?

This happened during a practice/ training session.

As a result, I have been re-evaluating some things and am hoping the next track day will give me some answers.

    BZ
