Front shock tubes bent so bad the front tire nearly touches the engine. :'( :'( I need parts bad... any suggestions? I also am interested in possibly putting a slightly better handling frnt end on it.. .or maybe just lowering the yoke 1cm.. anyone know what to get and where to get it? HELP newbie to the site and fairly new to the ride

    your VFR front end

you might want to look into replacing the vfr front end with fork tubes/setup from another bike. find out the diameter of the stock front forks on your VFR and then see if you can find another set up with the same diameter forks. i replaced my entire front end with an RC51 front end but this change requires a good deal of money and effort (the rc51 fork tubes are 43 mm; larger than stock VFR750 which necessitated an entire new triple clamp assembly). it may be possible to swap your front end with less fuss and money if you can simply reuse your stock triple clamp...perhaps (and i can't guarantee this) with a trick setup with radial mount brakes like from a kawasaki zx6r or suzuki gsxr600. you may be able to find a front end like this in a salvage yard somewhere. but, any significant modification to your front end will require time, thought and effort...and may not turn out as anticipated.

O-Man sorry to hear this, but don't worry with a little help here and there all will be good again and maybe even better. Interesting question in where I'm looking at what will work. I find that anyCBR 600 F3 front will slip right into your triple clamps. being there is a lot of F3s out there, there's a good chance you can find them, and not all that bad of a price. So first off Ebay is a great place to start looking and as a matter of fact there is a lot of 95 parts going on right now, If you can get the whole F3 front as that way the brakes, rotors, wheel, fender will all line up. Honda made the F3 from 95 to 98 and have a better fork from an adjustability thing. so this is a good thing.
Yes you can also do the mod by adding a RC51 forks, but thats not all that simple and the jury for me is still out if it's still worth it, other than the brakes. JMO I've rode the RC and have a 954, not sure other than the cool factor it will make that big of an improvement, Being the 4G forks are 41mm there are other makes that could fit I know Kawasaki zx600 is 41mm, not sure how well the wheel assembly would fit. so at this time I'm looking for a F3 complete front. so If I come across one I'll let you know as mine is still drivable I'm just doing it to be different, yours isn't..... let me know how it goes, I'm here to help if I can.

    thanks

i appreciate the info.. especially since i finaly got used front end for a 96 VFR on EBAY and it turned out to be crap!.. one side had a slight kink in it and the other was so pitted near the seal that it won't hold a seal... so back to square one and out $350!!! I will start looking for an F3 will any year fit a 97 VFR?

    or

Firestorm / Superhawk forks are the same diameter as the VFR ones, they are slightly shorter than the VFR ones, but since most people drop the yoke slightly on the VFR it comes to the same thing. They also give the benefit of the 4-pot calipers as fitted to Fireblades / VTR's etc. The master cyclinder will need to be replaced with one from these bikes, otherwise it's a bolt-on fit.

Sorry, but no. Pay attention at the back there !

The original poster in this thread is discussing forks for a VFR750. This bike does not have linked brakes like yours does, therefore the forks can be easily swapped for similar ones from another model.
your VFR however, can only accept forks from it's own model, or the VTEC model which can accept the linked brake set-up. Naturally you also require the yokes, spindle, mudguard, handlebars from the VTEC too.

The exception to this is of course that you can make almost anything fit if you have the time and money and many have done so. Any other forks will require the removal of the linked brake system, as discussed on the home page this is not a simple job .
    Hope this helps.

    forked up

I have a set of '93 VFR forks that will drop in for you and a good red front fender. Also have a set of F2 forks but the problem with F2 or F3 forks is that the springs are for a bike that weighs 100# less than the VFR

Also have a set of '98-'01 VFR forks; actually it is a complete front end with Spiegler Superbike bars fitted to it. Did you get my pics and link to Dynamo Humm for sourcing the undertray?
