    Hi all,

I'm a regular on Rennlist.com as I have been playing with Porsches' since 15yrs old. These have always been my primary focus but I've always had a soft spot for certain bikes. My first bike was a 1991 GSXR 750 red/white old school oil/air cooled (ala 911) I bought it in 1996 with 4k miles on it. It was showroom perfect as it was the day I sold it 25k miles later. Since that day, I've been jonzein' for a Ducati 916 and or VFR 800 6th gen. Once I laid eyes on the 25th anniversary VFR, I knew it would be my next bike. Well, I just scored one with 800 miles, blue hard bags, power commander III, cruise control, Sargeant seat, Remus cans with Motard header. I'm getting slightly ahead of myself here perhaps because it doesn't arrive until Monday but I simply couldn't wait. I'm psyched there is a community for the VFR as Rennlist is for Porsche. I look fwd to many more visits, learning more about the VFR and perhaps even meeting some local riders.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Well I uncrated and rode it home yesterday and I have to say, it is even more refined and silky smooth than I imagined. This bike was owned by one of the Mgrs of Salt Lake City Motorsports and he really is a class act. I couldn't be happier with my decision and the performance of the bike. The Remus pipes sound great, not nearly as loud as I thought they'd be, more of a mellow tone on and off the V-tec. Now to register, insure and ride my ass off!!

Welcome Peter. Like yourself, I'm a big fan of the RWB 6th Gen.
I mention 6th Gen because Stuka has 6th Gen Envy.

Right on Peter! What a great score...all tricked out and only 800 miles. Your initial impressions are correct...so smooth and well engineered..."refined" I think is the correct word for the VFR.
    WELCOME!!!

    Peter,

Now that sounds like a sweetly modified 6th Gen. I heard a Motard equipped VFR for the first time last week when we were down at Deals Gap. Damn thing sounded sweet. So much so I started researching the Motard headers when I got home. I actually think he had Remus Cans as well.

I do not believe you will be dissapointed!
