 Greetings fellow Vifferites from around the world! i am very pleased to join the brotherhood and fellowship of VFR World.
i am a long time motorcyclist of some 28 years and have managed to survive this far, whilst riding, so must be doing something right?

in my time ive owned the Gen 1 & 2, Gen 5 (Twice) and currently the Gen 6.
Riding a VFR down here in New Zealand appears to be little differant from everywhere else, save for the change in scenary and temperatures where applicable.
For any members contemplating a trip to NZ to see some of the most beautiful scenery available and highly under utilised roads in the world i would be delighted to provide any details of the local conditions, places of interest, route info, basically what ever you neeed to know.
and yes it is possible to hire a VFR 800 here.

for all kiwi VFR world members (and our Aussie brothers too) feel free to say gidday!

    Richard:biggrin:

Gidday Richard, or Dick here in Oz.

I have been over to your beautiful country a couple of times. The last time was Nov / Dec 2006. Did the Motorhome thing with the family and loved it.
I would love to ride the South Island on a VFR, in high Summer.
I looked into getting my bike shipped over but it's a bit pricey. I will possibly dream about it for many a year.

My neck of the woods is Central Queensland over the other side of the ditch and quite a bit further north. Inside the Great Barrier reef and near the Whitsunday islands, not a bad bit of the world to live either, if you don't mind the seasons as a bit cool, warm, very warm and holy f@%*in hell it's hot.

    Anyways that's enough rambling.

your spot on on the south island- motorcycle nirvana. you should look into a short term hire on a gen 6 VFR from CHCH.

Yeah, go the cowboys. Titans won last night as well, only the Bronco's to play for a Queensland clean sweep this weekend.

I'm 400 kls south of Townsville at Mackay, much better here:smile: We are 1000kls north of Brisvagas.
