Help. Split my forks to rebuild them but left them apart too long. Cant find my shop manual, looking hi and low for the darn thing. I think I had it right but was so upset I took it back apart to make sure I did not miss anything. 86 VFR 750. HELP
    Thanks

Great, thanks again. Its the hardware that goes on the bottom of the right side dampening rod Im getting hung up on. Part 10. I see the clip and know something goes under it, looks like a rebound spring but where oh where did it get to.

Strange, there is no rebound spring (part 10) on the right rod. The diagram shows one, I dont recall one coming out, I even took apart my old one to recheck it (the snapring broke and I had to drill the lower leg to get it out!). Part 10 on the left leg is part of the anti dive unit. Anyway got it all together and bleed out. Thanks for the oil fill specs, I assume that is collapsed with the springs out right?

It doesn't really have to have one. Same reasoning that only one leg has the TRAC anti-dive.

If one leg has the rebound spring (to keep it from topping out), then the forkbrace and axle would keep the other leg from topping out too.
