Interceptor Newbie

Hi all! Just joined. Picked up a '84 VF500 in pieces, so I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of ?'s!

 

This will be my 3rd restoration/resurrection of an old Honda! Hopefully I'll be as successful as I have been in the past!

Looks like a pretty good starting place. Certainly in fewer pieces than one picked up a while back.
Is the bike in your avitar a sample of your work?

 

Gota love a project, let us know how it goes. Still think Honda blew it by stop production on these machines.

Actually the avatar is just a pic I found online of how it would have looked in better times! Fortunately, I have all the pieces for this bike, plus some extras! Needed something to tinker on and rebuild, so this looked like a good starting point! I've restored an '81 CB650C, a '81 CB900C, an '83 Nighthawk 550, and a '82 Suzuki GR650.

After college, my buddy sold his '75 CB400F (which is a great bike in it's own right!) to buy a new VF500. Always wanted an Interceptor after that!
