There is a foot of snow and ice on my front yard. The VFR will not be coming out any time soon. But - there are a few clear roads - and I've seen several bikes out there. Crazy? Nah. A few years back an adventure rider from New York came through here to travel beyond the arctic circle - in Feb. (-40Celcius) and on a BMW with a side car. Now - that's "crazy".

I went on another 200+ miler today and thought I would add a couple more photos to this thread. I split it up today, did some highway, did some heavy metro riding, small backroads and then out to the coast for the twisties to finish off the day. The weather is setting records in the Bay Area today, so it was truly gorgeous. I even got to eat lunch at my favorite Szechuan spot in Chinatown in SF. I might have to do another tomorrow.....

That building is the Palace of Fine Arts. It is currently in the process of being refurbished. It was originally built to commemorate the Pananma Pacific Exposition of 1915. The Exposition was a celebration of the rebuilding of San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and the completion of the Panama Canal. I used to live right across the street, so I was kind of going back into my old neighborhood to check things out. It is located in the Marina district of SF. The area is beautiful to this day.

Action, those photos are making me envious. I was planning a trip to your part of the country in August but OPEC has put a damper on my plans. Maybe one day.:eek:hwell:

These thunderstorms/rain need to stop so I can break in my new leathers. I'll ride in the rain but not in brand new leather.

    KC-10 FE out...

Wow you guys ride in some beautiful areas! I need to hit up some of the local highways (202, 47, etc) with some of you NW guys now that the sun is finally coming out.

Got to go for a short ride today, had some fun hitting the power band 2nd gear! :vtr2:

Lucky, always wanted to ride a Black Z1R Mk2, a mate restored one in 1990 but some toe rag scum bag stole it before I got my chance to ride it.
