    Anyone ever tried them? Am I stuck being the Guinea Pig?

    Since I'm afflicted by a gear fetish of sorts, I'm always on the lookout for a new thing to try.

    I haven't but I do suffer from the same affliction so let me know how you like them ;)

    What I usually wear are Smart Wool socks from REI. Knee high, some padding on the shin area, fairly warm in cold weather and fairly cool in hot weather.

    I also use some knee-highs (unknown make, probably used to belong to my ex) in cold weather, and they make a lot of difference.

    Those "Ceramics" sound like a good choice for cold weather, plus they have a;

    "Fun black/grey/orange color scheme"

    Might compliment my riding undies... Think I'll order a pair. Which ones are you looking at, KC?

    save your money guys....I use very similar socks, but mine are made for snowboarding. You can get thinner ones as well. They work great, same concept as these though but probably cost way less. Worth a try to check them out though.

    Completely agree - these look exactly like the SmartWool ski socks I use, which I also got at REI. Athough the pricing isn't out of whack on these. Make sure you post an update if and when you do get them - let us know what you think.

    I haven't tried those, but I have some sock/bootie type things that I got for christmas a couple years ago. they don't stretch as much as socks and so they feel a little snug at first, but they work great for keeping feet warm but not sweating. I think they were made for skiing also, though... They are from Comfort In Action but I am having a helluva time finding a pic on the net. They are gortex and they seem to stay dry and work really well. My feet sweat quite a bit (normally) so this is nice for me...

    I'm looking at the Silver Tall ones.

    I currently use Thorlo Over-Calf Combat Boot Socks. Since I wear those with my uniform, they serve double duty. Obviously, just because product is ideal for wearing with a military boot doesn't mean it will be ideal for wearing with motorcycle boots.

    Hey, KC-10. Did you ever try these? My hard drive crashed and I lost the link before I ordered them. I remembered them today (minor miracle that I remembered, period...), as I was thinking about a cold ride in the near future.

    I have several pairs of MX socks. They work very well, and I have both sumer and winter grades.
