i just got some new exhaust for my shadow which means a rejet of the carbs (once i buy the kit) so i am also getting a tornado intake all at the same time... what i need is a cheap reliable mechanic local to do the carb jet, i dont want to pay honda 275 to do it which is what the dealership quoted me ... i can do the intake and exhaust myself but i am :scared: to mess with the carbs myself and dont have the tools :-(

    any recommendations

i know it isnt vfr related but ... :)

I dont know how cheap the guy is, But MetricTech in Mckinney. The owner/mechanic is Dean. He is a nice guy, but he will always tell it to you straight! Sometime it sounds a little harsh, but he knows his stuff its off of highway 5 and Virginia I think

thanks aaron ... actually i sold the shadow and bought a 2001 honda superhawk vtr1000f .... it is in pieces in the garage right now ... dean wanted $75 just to look at the hawk when i started having some sputtering so i am in the process of taking it down and trying to figure it out on my own ....

you gotta let me go for a ride on that busa man ... :)
