Hi. New to the forums. Also new to VFR's although I've been pining over getting this exact version for years. I bought her from a guy down in portland (I live close to Seattle) who advertised it on Craigslist for $4750. It's never been dropped and when I bought it on Feb 23, 08 it had 13,940 miles. It has heated grips and came with a Joe Rocket jacket and pants (that fit!), a tank bag, cover and battery tender. When I got there I could not believe how clean she was! Little did the owner know but about 0.003 seconds after I pulled into his driveway the bike was sold. I halfheartedly asked if he'd take $4500, and we settled on $4600, but I'd a paid full price if he wouldn't have budged. Anyway, no need to ramble. You all know about the joys of owning a VFR. Now I get to as well. (And that's my 5 year old son Josh on the back who when he grows up, "wants a yellow motorcycle just like daddy's")
Welcome welcome welcome and a howdy neighbor too, your sorta up the street, Olympia here. Keep an eye out for rides in the area. I or a couple others here will throw up a ride to here and there. Nice bike you got , it's the one I'd get if I didn't all ready have the one I have... I think.
Welcome to the site! That is the one I wanted to get, but could never find one that was low mileage, clean, or unmolested. Congratulations!
YES! CONGRATULATIONS! I like the "lellow" ones! Welcome to the club! Be careful on those first few rides!
Thanks to all for the hearty welcome. Today was sure a nice day to ride wasn't it? I know I enjoyed it
Nice pickup. As long as you love it, there is nothing wrong with paying full price. Especially when it comes to clean bikes, with low miles. Well worth it, in my opinion. Now just ride the snot out of it, and if you want to ride during daylight hours, weekdays, PM me. I am always game.
