WOW!, Im not sure what to say, sounds like a bad twist of fate. He was prepared for just about anything except for what happened psychologically to him. I know that kind of adventure is not my thing, but find it interesting for whos it is. Sounds like if he had just taken his time this story would have ended very differently. If nothing else at least he did something that he wanted to do, just maybe a little too early in life.

Wasn't that bittersweet when in Mexico he said "he bagged an American college girl last night?" Probably his last, um, conquest. Can't you just imagine him being paralyzed and remembering things like that? Broken heart is what he died of. And it isn't like the guy gave up right away. He fought hard and kept a good attitude for a long time. Finished his first year of law school in a chair...
We cannot know what it is like to have lived his life.

I would've loved to make a trip like that, but not at the cost he paid. Too bad he got paralized. Lost is self steem and took his life. My uncle Miguel got shot 7 times back in 1991. 4 of the bullets hit the spine and got paralized from the waist down. His self steem was real low after the accident. He stayed in the hospital and at home for about 4 years. He decided one day to go back to his work at a bar. He ended up buying the bar from the owner. Now he is a sucessfull bussiness man. Last year his only dauther was born using fertilization in vitro since that was the only way(remember he is paralized from the waist down). Being paralized is hard, but not impossible.

Still it's a sad story. RIP Clayton

Yoda! Like you I do. Good points have you, mmmmm.

Always good to remember that there have been many people who have lived happy lives with even worse maladies and afflictions and that there have been millions of able-bodied people with wealth who are miserable and end up killing themselves. Life is what you make it. The only expert on a person is that person. Only you can really tell me what your life is like. Only I can tell you what my life is like. The shame is that many folks kill themselves without reaching out for help when help might have saved them.

Make your life count! LIVE! Help others. Rock on...Good Karma!

My whole family is real close. I remember that my grandpa also die around that time. But the whole family got together to help my uncle. We all pray for him to get better. He still paralyzed but he's living life. When we go to the beach, he rides a seadoo, swim to the deep and back to shore(With no lifejacket), rides ATVs, dancing with the wheelchair. He didn't stop in front of the obstacles inn life, instead he went around them. To me Life is one so you take the best out of it. If life brings you lemons, you make lemonade. Use the "F_ck it" approach like we do back home in PR, F_uck the problems, the worries, the bad things period. If you let them get to you, they will consume you.

Hey Nungboy. That's Shiva on your avatar?
