Kc thanks for sharing, i would think it would be a Honor to meet the leader of the most powerful nation, regardless of whether you agree with his policies or not.

I met the POTUS once, only he wasn't POTUS yet. My dad ran one of his dads offices and they were at our house for a party in 1968. He was a college kid and I was still in elementary school. We didn't have much to say to each other.
I'm jealous you got to meet a sitting president. I've never been closer than 100yds from one. I've had nice conversations with Dan and Marylin Qualyle. Been alive through Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, GHW Bush, Clinton and GW Bush. I'm really worried about who's next.

Oh yeah, thank you for your service to our country.
(If only the bleeding heart liberal whiners had a clue what that means.)

KC - congrats, always cool to meet the President. Got to do the same thing a couple of years ago. Take it easy and fly safe!

Not your fault man. You had something to be proud of, and someone shit on it. Nobody can control disrespectful asshats of the world, or people from Canadia for that matter. [IMG]

    Keep up the good work.

Sorry, gotta say that the Germans brew better beers than even the stuff that comes out of Canada. I do quite enjoy Canadian beers, don't get me wrong, but the Germans mke some that are even better. Is there anything better than German beers??? YES!!!!! Belgium has quite a few tasty brews. I never got to meet the POTU, but when he came to Osan AB, ROK, we went to see him. Kinda had to, we were told by the bsae leadership, as they wanted to have a good tunr-out. It was quite interesting to hear him speak. As far as what I have done so far this weekend...spent a total of 12 hours in a classroom, working on my degree. 8 more classes, and it's mine!!!!!

Nastro Azzuro (aka Peroni) tonight, went perfectly with the lasagna I made.

Congrats on meeting the CINC, KC-10. And my condolences on being stuck next to one of the armpits of the Army - Fort Dix!

yeah, knowing him personally, I'd say he was just trying to crack a joke to aggravate, not trying to insinuate that he doesn't like Canadians... He's a goofball.

Who knows. Maybe he met some morone that gave him a bad taste of us people here who are "just so darned polite"..... WTF. You all have to forgive me. Age has this way of sort of sloooooowing things down a spec. I don't always grasp the subtle things you know.

    Anyways, back to the beer!

And thank you for your service KC-10. I have close family members and my BF who are all veterans and I appreciate beyond words their work, sacrifice and dedication to freedom.

But, I agree completely, nothing is better than German Beer. Especially after a long ride on the VFR
