Hi all - new to the site. Anybody know the engine oil capacity for a 1987 VFR700 f2 Interceptor? I've searched the web hi and lo with no luck. Also - regarding their regulator rectifier burn out issue - anybody ever try hooking up additional electrical assecories to pull some of the "extra" juice from the rectifier rather than have the stator rewired?

    Thanks

I have an 86 VFR 700, which is the same bike, and the oil capacity is 3.2 quarts for an oil change, and 4.2 quarts for and overhaul. If you're just going to do do an oil change on it, I would put three quarts in and check your dip stick from there. As far as the regulator burning out, i had that happen a little while ago. I have a 2003 honda 919 (hornet) regulator on it now and it seem to work great. My blinker relay just burnt out so i don't know of the new regulator caused that or not, but if so that's the only problem I've had with it in the past month. I hope this info helps.
