Mine has the book and a tool kit under the seat plus the cover and inserts. If it dont have to many tools its not a big deal to me... I have a few tools lying around my shed. :)

The guys at the cycle shop said not to use grip glue with the pro grip gels? I have never heard of this before. But I got a set of black with red inner layer I want to put on the bike today. What should I do. The shop I got the bike from says it will $10 extra to do the grips when it comes in for the 600 mile service. I am only used to doing Dirt bikes (cut, tear, scrape, clean, prep, glue and then wire).

I did my own and used hairspray which is what I always used on my dirtbikes. I have never noticed a problem. I'd say if you want to change them now, go for it, but $10 for them to do it is reasonable if you just dont feel like messing with it...
