1990 Vfr750f

    :eek: :confused: I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1990 VFR 750 WITH 22K . I BELIEVE IT HAS A JETTING ISSUE. PLEASE HELP!!! FIRST OFF IT HAS A BIT OF TROUBLE WARMING UP. 2ND IT STUMBLES WHEN YOU GET ON IT HARD. (RIGHT WHEN YOU CRACK THE THROTTLE) ALMOST FEELS LIKE IT DIES AND THEN COMES TO LIFE.. THIS OCCURS WHETHER ITS COLD OR HOT. ALSO I AM WAY ABOVE SEA LEVEL!!! AT ABOUT 4500 FT. THE BIKE HAS A LEFT SIDE MOUNT ART EXHAUST AND HEADER, K&N FILTER (CLEAN) , AND I WAS TOLD THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD A DYNOJET KIT INSTALLED. OTHER THAN RE-JETTING THE BIKE ,HERES THE MAIN REASON I AM CONFUSED. THE MODEL ID# THAT IS STAMPED ON THESE CARBS DOES NOT REFERENCE WITH THE INFORMATION IN MY SERVICE MANUAL!!! IN THE MANUAL IT SAYS THAT ALL 1990-1993 VFR750'S HAVE CARB ID#'S THAT START OUT VDJ--- HOWEVER THE CARBS ON THE BIKE ARE STAMPED JCA--- !!! I CHECKED ALL OVER THE INTERNET THERE IS NO INFRMATION TO CROSS REFERNCE TO SEE IF THESE ARE EVEN FOR THIS BIKE OR MAYBE JUST A SET FROM A DIFFERENT COUNTRY, ETC... SHOULD I WORK WITH WHAT I HAVE OR TRY TO FIND A DIFFERENT SET OF CARBS???? THANKS FOR ANY HELP, IN ADVANCE!!!!!! :frusty:

    The low speed idle jets might be gunky. Have you actually pulled the carbs and inspected?

    Words typed in CAPS gives indication that you are shouting on internet forums.

    Raise your idle about 200 rpm. This should help with the hesitation off-idle issues. If not, then you may have carb issues.
