For those of you who've owned VFR's for more than a few minutes, did your insurance providers adjust your rates for company loyalty, changes in the rider's age, etc? My insurance provider (USAA) adjusts the rates for my other vehicles every year...I was just wondering if other providers do that as well for bikes? Common sense tells me "yes", but I just wanted to hear from the peanut gallery.
insurance premiums vary greatly state to state, and also depend on your age, type of bike, size of the motor, and whether or not you "ride leaning over the gas tank". i can only speak for texas, but as you get older, and the cleaner your record, the lower your rates tend to be. as for loyalty discounts, im sure that would vary from one company to the next, but dude...loyalty?! these guys ARE insurance companies after all. you cant expect kindness from a crook, just be glad when and if you actually get to see it.
I've actually seen "loyalty" discounts three years in a row with USAA. It's to the tune of almost 15% each year on my automotive insurance.
Yep I have been with USAA for several years now and there auto insurance is bar none, their bike insurance on the other hand... They only under-write motorcycle insurance through progressive. I found that geico actually has better rates for me.
