I saw that on Ebay too, but I thought they had it listed wrong. I didn't think it was for the VF500F. Post some pic once you get it mounted. I'd like to see it.

That sounds cool. Keep us updated. I'm still debating whether I want to do custom graphics or stick to the stock look.

that'd look pretty cool, if I had been the one to repaint it, I wouldn't have chose that color scheme, not a big fan of Yellow, but I think it flows well with the bike so unless it gets to where it really needs the paint job, the paint will stay :)

Keep us updated with your paint job, sure it'll be nice!

That's the same fairing I have on my bike, and I love it. It looks really slick and much better than any of the airtech pieces I've seen.
Bought it this way and I knew it wasn't an airtech piece. This is the spec II piece, no?

This is how it looks on my bike:

    Love it too.

Ah, it was at Road Track and Trail (WI) for about... idk, half a year? I saw it once with a buddy when he was looking into a CBR. The bike caught my eye and got me interested in interceptors.

Well, roughly 6 months later or something (maybe it just seemed that long) the bike was put on ebay for $2k by Road Track and Trail. By this point I was already looking for an interceptor and had my dad go buy it for me (i'm in school at UW-Madison) and I'd write him a check for $2k the next weekend. Well, he ended up getting it from them for $1600 with about 12XXX miles on it. And that's that.

Here are a few more pictures if you're interested. I currently have all the clothes off and it's sitting 80 miles away in my parents basement getting new fluids, air filter, spark plugs, etc when I get back there next.. (as opposed to storing it here in my garage).

Here's a few more pictures if you're interested. The pictures they posted on ebay don't do the paint justice. It looked really faint yellow... in the sun it's a totally different story.

edit: here is a good look at the fairing

I don't know anything about the bike's past other than it must have had a good owner. There's not a knock in the engine and everything is silky smooth for a bike that has me outdated by three or four years.

Good luck with it. And for sure you'll have to share some pictures.

When I was looking for a VF500 I wanted one because I liked the naked look they had and I'd only seen how the airtech pieces looked on them. Once I saw this fairing it changed my mind.

I would like to essentially reverse the colors on the bike to flat black with yellow accents, but I don't quite have the cash to do so. That, and I'm pretty content currently.

Thanks, I didnt mind the naked looks myself at the start but i saw a guy that made his own fairing, and it looked AMAZING so i started lookin into it. Im so sad though i saw the f2 fairing on ebay long time ago but didnt know what it was so juss left it:( but so glad i found this fairing. I wanna save up money to either do the tribal on it or just the wing not sure as yet.

OMG didnt see that last pic there, dat looks amazing, you have inspired me LOL.

    check out the custom fairing:
