So here is the deal. I found my self a deal on this 85 vf700 that I just could not bring myself to pass up. Now I have not prior knowledge about these bikes. I have been doing a whole lot of research and am finding myself stumped. I cant find anything for this bike anywhere. I have looked over all of the posts on here to try and find the answers but have come up blank. All of the relevant post are for either a vf500 of a vf700 of another year. So i guess first off I would like to know what years and models might have interchangeable parts. Here is a list of the items that I really could use to get this bike looking right.

    1-Exhaust (after market / stock)
    2-Windscreen
    3-Left/Right side cover fairings

:blah: Those are the basic items I need to get this bike complete and running right. The exhaust is trash and the windscreen is just a piece of black plastic (trash) and its missing the side covers. So if anyone can give me any advice of help me figure out what to do I would really really appreciate it!:blah:

I would start with frame and engine numbers to see what you've got.

Have fun on eBay! The body panels from any VF750F or VF700F will fit. By the way, the "F" at the end is important. I don't know about the exhaust.

The '83 VF750F and '84/'85 VF700F are exactly the same except for rotors (only rear I think), carbs, sparkbox's and engine internals (shorter stroke, different cams, and ignition timing).

All the bodywork, frame, radiators, electrical and driveline are the same.

Note: minor changes in the electrical harness concerning the radiator fan, ignition switch and fusebox may exist

E-Bay, E-Bay, E-Bay!!! Look EVERY DAY!! Little by little you'll find all the parts you need. Seems like there was a post on here where you could get all the plastics new reproduction. I think I saved it on my other computer. I'll look when I get home and post it on here. You could always "Street Fighter" it.

Also forgot the gearing is slightly different. The front gear for the '83 is 17 teeth instead of 16 teeth for the '84-'85.

I've got a set of stock mufflers that I would let go cheap. One is real nice and the other is starting to show some pin holes on the inside. The still look excellent with no scratches. Let me know!
