Took the plunge today and traded in the Harley Sportster for an 08 Silver VFR.

Haven't had much chance to ride (other than the short ride home from the dealer), but MAN, what a difference. Smooth power delivery with about 1/20th of the vibration I suffered on the Sportster.

Will take a long ride this coming Friday, and will post some more driving impressions and comparisons for comment and feedback by all.

Look forward to sharing ideas and information with all on this site.

I will be watching for you all on the roads around L.A.

Congratulations on the bike. I just bought an 07 about a week ago (I bought it brand new...I wanted the red color.). I love it so far. In about three days, I'm gonna take the break-in oil out of it and continue "aging" the motor. Have fun and stay safe! :)

Wow. You don't often see people moving from a Harley to a Honda. It is a switch that I'm sure you won't regret. I look forward to hearing about how you like the bike and how it compares.

I went from a Harley to a Honda too, but I had a year and a half and a Suzuki in between. I traded my Harley for a 4 wheeler to hunt with and then lost the hunting ground last year. Sold the 4 wheeler and got a Suzuki Katana while I tried to figure out how to get the 95 VFR my buddy had. Sold my truck and bought the VFR. I love this bike! Congrats and enjoy!

Congratulations vfr is a lot more fun than a Harley. maybe not as shinny though. when i read your post it reminded me of a stop at a Harley dealer as i was looking around the sales guys comes up and says so you thinkin of movin up to a Harley? it took all my will power to not say what i was really thinking.

Every time I miss my old Norton, I put an unbalanced load of laundry in the washer and sit on it for a few minutes.
