Yep you read it right, yep I knew there was another thread on the subject too, damn if I could find it. Anyway Mine went tits up today so did a quick research and price check and found the best deal along with a great time-line as the weather was great for like 5 hours and I wanted on the road asap, was the Honda version they out sourced, which turns out to be a AGM gel type made by Interstate battery. Anyone else here have this version? any other thoughts on the subject?
Seems batterys are one of those things I have the least trouble with. I buy one from Auto Zone - trade in the old carcass and I'm set for another 3- 4 years. Guess I've been lucky. MD
Yeah, if you google "AGM battery", you can spend a lot of time reading about batteries and technology... Most of my experience has been with the old style lead-acid vented batteries, which never seemed to last more than two or three years. Brave new world we live in now... well, new world anyway.
Was hoping to find that Optima made batteries for motorcycles, I have em my cars and love em, but no... they don't
I replaced the battery last spring and wanted another Yuasa AGM battery. The shop that does a lot of work for me recommended the Interstate AGM battery and claimed it is made by Yuasa. I have no reason to doubt them and it has worked perfectly! Hope this helps. Mark
